I am a Lancashire lass born and bred and moved to northeast Scotland once I graduated as an Industrial Geologist and had secured work in the oil industry. Fast forward 19 years and I am now working as a part-time Level 3 Personal Trainer in rural Aberdeenshire!
My fitness passion was initiated over 7 years ago, where I started as a complete beginner to physical activity with low self-confidence. Since then I have competed in 10k runs, sprint triathlons, duathlons and most recently a 2-day run/bike/kayak endurance event covering over 100 miles. My next goal is a Half Ironman in 2016.
As a PT I enjoy sharing my acquired experience, knowledge and enthusiasm with others, one-on-one, however, The Hour of Power class ticked all the boxes for me and is exactly why I wanted to certify to teach it to others….good wholesome exercise performed safely and to a high standard of technical expertise. With no complicated choreography, it keeps me working at a high intensity whilst the rhythmic nature of the movements enables me to focus on my technique. I love it and I love the positive impact it has had on me mentally and physically.
