Ever since I began to walk, I suppose you could call me a bundle of energy and fun!

I started dancing, which included mainly disco freestyle, rock and roll, ballroom and Latin and street dance, and took part in competitions all over the country. Having won the East of England and Essex double championships in 1989, it gave me a great sense of achievement and inspired me to do other things.

I enjoy any form of cardiovascular and resistance training. At the age of 30, I decided I would hang up my dance shoes and swap it for kickboxing which I did for 5 years. I took part in point fighting competitions around the County.

Having such a passion for keeping fit and healthy, I decided to help and encourage others to do the same. I consider myself to be a fun, assertive, motivating person, so I became a personal trainer in 2009. I have attended many workshops in which I found the posture alignment and corrective exercise particularly interesting and helpful. This is what really encouraged me to focus on the importance of correct technique and created a good balance of lengthening and strengthening the muscles, which led me to teach the perfect class for this.

I qualified as a Hour of Power instructor in Feb 2012, teaching twice a week in the Surrey area. I strongly believe this class gives you the total package to achieve total body fitness. Seeing people at my class distribute their body weight, maintain a better posture and create a define muscle tone makes me so proud and passionate about the Hour of Power.
