I have never been a regular visitor to the gym, unless your idea of regular is once every other year. I am a ski instructor and kiteboard to a reasonable level, and believe that the best way to achieve functional fitness is to just do your sport. However, I am currently trying to get back in shape for the forthcoming ski season and have been attending Gill’s HOP® classes.
I am really impressed and try not to miss any classes. It is an efficient, and effective, hour of training, which is good for me cos I wouldn’t want to be missing an hour of decent wind! I’ve done a few circuit training classes where there’s been 20 mins of warm up, 20 mins of warm down and only 20 mins of work, which just doesn’t do it for me. With the HOP® there isn’t a minute wasted, especially as Gill is such a hard slave-driver, in a delightful way, of course. There are a quite a few fitness people out there who aren’t at all motivational. That certainly couldn’t be said of Gill.
Not a minute wasted with HOP®
